Beginning 11/14/2021 the main area of Eagle Nest Lake will be open Thurs-Sun 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Moreno and Six Mile Day Use areas will be open daily for day use.  Cieneguilla Day Use are is closed for the season.
Beginning Sunday, January 16, 2022, Eagle Nest Lake will be open for ice fishing for walk on anglers only.  There are no motirized vehicles allowed at this time due to current ice conditions.  There are several pressure ridges present on the lake and anglers should take care to avoid these areas as they can having dangerous thin ice conditions.
Current ice conditions:  Ice was measured on 1/15/2022.  Ice thickness varies from 8-13 inches throughout the lake.  The lake is open to fot traffic only.  All activities on the lake are at your own risk.
It is suggested to only be on the ice during daylight hours.
 
From Jordan Mitchell, Park Ranger:  The lake is open to walk on ice fishing only. Be careful, there is a pressure ridge near the shore at the south boat ramp. Remember to avoid pressure ridges and do not attempt to cross. Good luck!

Boat rentals do not include the NM fishing license or the State Park pass.

Boats can be rented longer if the weather is good.  Boat rentals include safety equipment and gas.  The boats are launched into the lake and removed from the lake.

Cost ~ $315 for 2 people plus gratuity

$50 for additional person

Maximum 4 people per trip

1/2-Day Ice Fishing Trip (4 hrs.)
